What is payroll shift rostering?

• Payroll shift rostering is a tool used to schedule a future payroll shift change for an employee.

When a payroll shift is rostered for an employee, that payroll shift is then assigned to that employee. All future processing will be done according to the rostered payroll shift.

Why use payroll shift rostering?

• E.g. An employee currently working day shift is requested to begin working night shift from a specific date. The night payroll shift can be rostered for that particular day, therefore assigning the night payroll shift to that employee.
