Once you have run the install, start
the PC Clock. From the Options dropdown menu select the select
Preferences option.

Take note of the IP Port that is
being used on the computer running PC Clock (by default this is set to
6380 but can also be changed as required). You are also going to
require the the TCP/IP address of this computer.
In the
Configuration module, go
to the System Setup dropdown menu, select the Features option
and then select the Hardware tab. The Using CapeClock
and Clocks connected via TCP/IP check boxes must be selected. Click on
Ok to save these settings.

In the
Hardware module, go
to the Setup dropdown menu, select the Devices option.
If there is not already a controller having a 0 (zero) Controller Code
(also used for Importing Generic Text), create this controller.
Select and highlight this Controller
(having Code 0) and then click the Add Device button. Select
the General tab and type in a Description to be used to
identify the clock (i.e. PC Clock) In the Clock Make & Model
select box, select the CapeSoft PC Clock Model option.

Now
select the Details tab and select the Payroll Clocking
check box. Select the Connection tab and type in the IP
address of the computer running PC Clock and also the IP Port number
being used (default is 6380).

Click
Ok to save the settings.
When
the Device Setup window is again displayed, select and
highlight the PC Clock and the click on the Send Cards
button.

Once the Card information has been sent
you can close the Hardware module.
Note: This
configuration must be performed for each computer running PC Clock.
Start PC Clock.

Check that the ONLINE indicator is
illuminated, if not check that the TCP/IP address and Port number have
been set correctly and that the Communications module is running.
To make a clocking, key in your allocated
card number and then press the Enter key (keyboard entry) or click on
the tick mark key (using the mouse). When accepted the display will
identify it as a valid clocking and the respective direction indicator
will illuminate. If an invalid clocking (will be displayed as being
Invalid in the display area) re-enter the number. (The red cross key
is used to cancel a number that has been keyed in).
Note: If a touch
screen monitor is being used, you can enter your card number by
touching the required keys on the screen.
