HomeShift Rostering - Introduction
Required Level : Standard

Required Version : 3.03 or later

What is rostering?

  • Rostering is a tool used to schedule daily or payroll shift changes for employees.

Once a shift is rostered, it overrides the shift previously assigned to that employee, therefore all processing will be done according to the rostered shift.

If the user removes a rostered shift, processing will be done according to the original shift.

Daily and payroll shift rostering differ to some extent:

  • A rostered daily shift overrides the employee's daily shift for that day. Daily shift rostering only effects the processing on the day of the rostered shift.
  • A rostered payroll shift overrides the employee's payroll shift from that day forward. All future processing will be done according to the rostered payroll shift.

Why use rostering?

  • Change an employee to a different shift.

  • Change an employee to a different shift for one day.

  • Employees working random shifts e.g. hotel staff, restaurant staff.

Who uses rostering?

  • The TNA2000 user.
