Clocked, Paid, breaks

Summary :
The concept of a Paid, Clocked break is interesting. If he=s paid, then why clock? Principally they clock in order to ensure that the break is not too long, and that it is taken at the right time. This doc discusses the way the rules are applied to Clocked, Paid, breaks.  

Technical
If the Clk setting is Yes, Paid is Yes, and Direction is Out / In.

The following settings are available  

Start : This is the normal start time of the break window.

Finish : This is the normal end time of the break window.

Start Early : If the person goes to break before the normal start time then a warning is generated. If the person clocks out before the Start time then the person is docked to the normal Start time.

Start Late : If the person goes to break after this time then a warning is generated.

Start Grace : If a person goes to break inside the grace period then no time is docked.

Finish Early : If the person finishes before this time, then a warning is generated.

Finish Late : If the person finishes after the normal end time then a warning is generated. If the person clocks back in after the Finish period then the person will be docked from the normal end time.

Finish Grace : If the person clocks back in from the break inside the grace period then no time is docked.

Min : If the person clocks out after the Start Early, and does not clock back in before normal end time, then the Min time is added to the paid time. No warning is generated if the person clocks for less than the Min time.

Max : If the person is out for longer than this time, inside the window, then time is docked, and a warning is generated.

Def. : Has no effect.                            

Rules (in order of application)

1) Grace is applied to all clockings. If the person clocks inside the grace period then the clocking is moved to the perfect time. 
2) If the person leaves, for the day, before the early time then the break is not paid.  (Ref A1)
3) If the person leaves for the day during the early period, then the break is paid as a bonus. (RefA2)
4) If the person leaves for the day during the break, then the Min break time is paid. (Ref A3)
5) If the person arrives for work after the end of the break window then time is unpaid. (Ref B1)
6) If the person arrives for work during the break, then the break is ignored. (Ref B2)
7) If the person is out before the Early start of the break, then the break is ignored. (Ref C1)
8) If the person is in during the whole break then a warning (6) is generated. (Ref C2)
9) If the person goes out after the Late start then a warning (14) is generated. (Ref C3)
10) If the person clocks out during the early period then an in, and out, clocking is added from the normal start time (Ref D1)
11) If the person clocks back in after the Max break time then the extra time is docked.
12) The break window can exceed the maximum break length.
