Improved Leave and Holiday support : Phase 2

Summary :                             

Support has been added to support;

A) Employee Leave, and Sick Leave Start Dates

B) Displaying Running Totals of Leave, & Sick Leave left to employee.

C) New attribute for Leave Type : Manual Hours : If ON then the employee receives hours manually entered by the operator. Not that leave types marked as Manual are treated as Unpaid when processed by the Processor.

D) When adding a leave record provision is made to set the number of days effect it will have on the Leave, or Sick Leave totals.

Method:

A) On the normal Employee update screen you can enter Leave start dates, and Leave amounts on the Employment Record tab. Alternatively use the Bulk Employee Update screen (User Module, Bulk Menu) to set the amounts for a group of employees.

B) Nothing to do. The amounts are displayed on the Employee, Leave Browse, and also on the Update Leave Record screen.

C) If the user adds a leave record, with a Leave Type set to Manual, then buttons will appear allowing her to add Daily or Payroll hours.

D) When adding, or editing, a leave record, and the Leave Type is set to Paid, then enter the number of days effect the leave will have.

Limitations:

A) No additional reports have yet been added.

B) The effect of the entire leave period is always applied to the year in which the start of the leave occurs. For example if the Employee=s leave year is from 1 Jan 1999 to 31 Dec 1999. Then on Dec 30 1999 he goes on leave for an effective 5 days. All 5 days will be counted in the Leave year ended 31 Dec 1999. Should the leave need to be split over the 2 years, then 2 records are required (one starting in the previous year, and one starting in the next year).
